Victory highlights Shreveport-Bossier’s growing culinary talent and community pride

SHREVEPORT, LA- Abby Singer’s Bistro is celebrating a major culinary victory. Chef De’Unaka Haley emerged as the winner on last night’s episode of Chef Grudge Match on Food Network, where she faced off against her colleague and mentor, Executive Chef Niema DiGrazia, in a thrilling competition of skill, creativity, and heart.

The episode, titled “So Sous Me,” showcased not only the talent and camaraderie between the two chefs but also the incredible culinary scene blossoming in the Shreveport-Bossier region. While De’Unaka took home the official win, the real champion of the evening was the local food community, gaining international recognition for its innovation and artistry.

“This is such a proud moment for our team at Abby Singer’s and RFC,” said Wendell Riley, Executive Director of Robinson Film Center. “We’re all still buzzing about Chef Niema’s win on Beat Bobby Flay, so to have her and now De’Unaka compete on the international stage is amazing. Both of them are shining examples of the incredible culinary talent we have in Shreveport-Bossier. Their passion and creativity represent the very best of our community. We invite everyone to come experience their artistry firsthand at Abby Singer’s. It’s food made with heart, and it’s right here at home.”

Abby Singer’s, located inside Robinson Film Center in downtown Shreveport, has become a staple of the region’s dining scene, known for its inventive menus, vibrant flavors, and commitment to celebrating local talent. This international spotlight reaffirms that Shreveport-Bossier is not only a hub for arts and culture but also a rising destination for food lovers.
